The HOMER D. WILLIAMS was built in 1917 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Homer D. Williams is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 580 feet, and a width of 60 feet. It displaces 7742 tons, and has a load capacity of 6029 tons. It entered service in the year 1917 under the ownership of Pittsburgh Steamship Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: November 11, 1984, towed to Thunder Bay for scrapping by Shearmet.
