Description: The YUMA was built in 1893 by Cleveland Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Yuma is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 322 feet, and a width of 42 feet. It displaces 2194 tons, and has a load capacity of 1828 tons. It entered service in the year 1893 under the ownership of Wilson Transit Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sunk in collision with tug FERN, November 17, 1949, off Wharton's Point, Chesapeake Bay, while under tow.
