The LAKEHEAD was built in 1953 by Hans Hansen Welding Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The Lakehead is a steel hulled tug with a length of 34 feet, and a width of 12 feet. It displaces 14 tons, and has a load capacity of 11 tons. It entered service in the year 1953 under the ownership of Merritt-Chapman & Scott Corp. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Out of documentation sometime between 1990-1993.
