The DAYLITE was built in 1916 by Toledo Ship Building Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The Daylite is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 252 feet, and a width of 43 feet. It displaces 1976 tons, and has a load capacity of 1601 tons. It entered service in the year 1916 under the ownership of Standard Oil Co. (NJ) of New York, NY U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Dropped from Lloyd's Confidential List in June, 1949, "detail of ownership unknown."
