At Kids Food Cyber Club, students can do a variety of nutrition related activities. Hi! They call it "the place for good food fun." There are tons of fun activities that the students can access by simply clicking on the pictures in each section. The different section topics include: food keeps us well, USDA food guide pyramid, rate your plate, grow it yourself, nutrition sleuths, books I love to read, your recipes, hunger in our land, your ad here, food facts, question of the month, and links.
This site takes you to McDonald's nutrition information link off of McDonald's homepage. Here students can find all of the nutrional information for every item McDonald's makes.
This is a pfd file of a "Kid's Meal Times" where students can read about dietary guidelines for Americans which lists way to meet these guideline. It also tells students how to read a nutritional food label. There are activities, recipes parents can make with their child, and books to read with your child.

This web quest was designed with a sixth grade health class in mind. However, it could easily be modified and used at various grade levels. The quest challenges students to apply knowledge of the food guide pyramid, learn about the Dietary Guidelines, and compare nutritional information at a common fast food restaurant.
